About the role

We are seeking an experienced and committed Accounts Receivable/Payable Officer with financial acumen to join our Finance team.

You will play a vital role in further developing and expanding our procedures for improved operational excellence.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage all processes relating to accounts receivable and revenue collection, including preparing and posting invoices
  • Transaction processing related to accounts receivable payments, revenue collection and bank deposits
  • Conduct Credit checks on new accounts
  • Process accounts payable invoices and expense claims for payment by matching and verifying with purchase orders, requisitions, vendor statements and receipts
  • Processing of Customer Rebates
  • Process and management of credits
  • Transaction processing related to accounts payable
  • Close accounting periods on time.

What we're looking for

  • General bookkeeping, accounts payable and accounts receivable experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • Proficiency and experience with spreadsheets (MS Excel)
  • ERP and/or accounting software experience
  • Experience working with Oracle is desirable
  • Experience working with large volume of transactions and in complex systems
  • Credit control experience
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • High degree of accountability and accurate attention to detail
