Recruitment Consultant at Paxus | Specializing in Financial & Professional Services

Are you a seasoned Infrastructure or Cloud Migration Engineer with a passion for cloud technologies and virtualization? One of our clients is embarking on a major cloud transformation project and is looking for an expert to lead the migration of their VMware Cloud Director environment to Azure VMware Services, leveraging Zerto Site Recovery.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the forefront of a critical migration project with a leading organization that values technical excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a detailed analysis of the current VMware Cloud Director setup to identify risks and define a clear migration path.
  • Design and implement a robust migration strategy, covering system architecture, performance, and security considerations.
  • Lead the end-to-end migration to Azure VMware Services using Zerto for seamless replication and minimal downtime.
  • Monitor migration activities and report progress, ensuring smooth execution with minimal business impact.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to align technical plans with business objectives and expectations.
  • Deliver post-migration support, including performance tuning and issue resolution.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and cost-efficiency in the new cloud environment.
  • Document procedures, configurations, and best practices for future reference.

About You:

  • A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure migration, cloud platforms, and disaster recovery.
  • VMware Cloud Director
  • Solid understanding of cloud technologies, data security standards, and migration tools.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

Nice to Have:

  • Certifications in VMware and/or Azure technologies.
  • Exposure to other cloud environments like AWS or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of networking and storage systems.
