Overview

We are hiring a Casual Chef with Asian Specialty Cuisine to join our new team at Miss Pearl Bar & Dining, located within the Melbourne Theatre Company, Southbank. The kitchen produces an Asian-inspired seasonal menu in a fast-paced setting, providing our customers with a memorable dining experience. This role also involves preparing dishes for a variety of functions and events held at the MTC.

Responsibilities
  • Casual position
  • Work closely with the team to ensure efficient food production and quality control
  • Ensure the highest standards of presentation and quality
  • Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement
  • Excellent working conditions
  • Located at the Southbank Theatre
  • Shifts include evenings (Mon-Sat) and Saturday day.
  • Hourly rate at Level 4 : Mon-Fri at $35.15, Sat at $42.18, Sun at $49.21
Qualifications
  • Experience in fast-paced restaurant or events environment
  • Ensure food is served at agreed quality and speed of service
  • A passion for cooking, and be open to learning new skills in the kitchen
