Overview

Advanced Learning Programs Coordinator (POL3) role description and criteria: responsible for leading the development, operation and expansion of the Advanced Learning Program from 7-12. The College's Advanced Learning Stream is one element of the Advanced Learning Program, along with a diverse range of extension and enrichment learning opportunities within and beyond the College aimed to extend highly able, gifted and talented learners.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, operation and expansion of the Advanced Learning Program for students in years 7–12.
  • Coordinate and oversee the Advanced Learning Stream as part of the broader program, and provide extension and enrichment opportunities within and beyond the College for highly able, gifted and talented learners.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrates contemporary teaching practice and an understanding of how students learn best, with knowledge of Australian curriculum frameworks.
  • Registered or eligible to be registered with VIT (VIT registration or ability to register).
  • Demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.

About Penola Catholic College

Penola Catholic College is a co-educational college for students from years 7-12 with two campuses in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne. College campuses are situated in Glenroy, which caters for years 7 and 8, and the senior campus in Broadmeadows that features years 9 to 12 and a total college enrolment of approximately 1,400 students. We provide students with real life learning opportunities and experiences that will prepare them for the business of living.
