Overview

Senior IT Systems Engineer role at Infinite Consulting. This position involves implementing, managing and retiring the infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services.

Base pay range

A$160.00/hr - A$180.00/hr

    • Extension(s): Up to 24 month option to extend
    • Security clearance: Active NV1 Government Security Clearance
    • Location: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
    • Working arrangements: Onsite

Typical working arrangements are Monday-Friday during normal business hours. Shift work may also be required in response to cyber security incidents, and to support electoral events at key periods. This position requires an ONSITE presence at the AEC\'s national office in Canberra. Applicants wishing to work remotely will NOT be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Implement, manage and retire the IT infrastructure that supports digital services (physical, virtual, networking and cloud)
  • Maintain cyber security monitoring and analysis toolsets
  • Lead the build of cyber security architecture through consultation with internal ICT teams to secure this architecture
Skills required
  • Experience using Sentinel or similar SIEM solution
  • In-depth familiarity with the Australian Government ISM
  • Experience with security technologies such as endpoint protection, firewalls and IDS/IPS
  • Extensive experience in Windows, Linux, networking and system administration
  • Experience with security services in the cloud (Azure or AWS)
  • Experience in cyber security monitoring and incident response within, or for, other Federal government agencies
Qualifications
  • Experience using Sentinel or similar SIEM solution
