The Office of the Valuer-General (OVG) Directorate is an independent Office within the department. It is responsible and accountable for providing the regulatory policy and procedural framework for the State's Land Valuation System and ensuring that the functions undertaken by the Service Provider, Land Services SA (LSSA), in performing statutory valuations across the State are compliant and effectively administered in accordance with the Valuation of Land Act 1971 and the Land Services Agreement. The OVG also supports government decision making through the provision of professional valuation advice and strategic services.

The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated senior administrator to join our dedicated Coordination team in the Office of the Valuer-General to undertake a range of high-level administrative support and customer liaison functions.
This role reports directly to the Director, Statutory & Coordination and will see you responsible for the preparation of high-level correspondence and reports, contribution to outward facing communications and monitoring of incoming requests related to valuation grievances and general enquiries. This includes assisting the Director in ensuring the Valuer-General is appropriately represented at SACAT by preparing and coordinating documentation for the defence of valuation matters.
About You:
OVG is seeking to recruit a dynamic team player with excellent administration, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:
Researching, collating, coordinating and analysing information and formulating appropriate responses, advice and solutions.
Developing, preparing and reviewing high-level correspondence, (preferable if this experience is in preparing reports for Parliament, Cabinet, Ministerial and departmental executives).
Ability to utilise excel for reporting and statistical analysis.
Knowledge and understanding of the Valuation of Land Act 1971 and associated regulations is desirable.
Basic skills using web-based systems is desirable.
A current Driver's Licence.
Special Conditions
Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.
Remuneration:
ASO5 - $85,790 min - $95,413 max.
