Overview

Correctional Case Officer role at Serco. As a member of the Clarence Correctional Centre team, you will supervise, manage, and support inmates while ensuring safety, security, and rehabilitation in a respectful and structured environment. You'll help inmates prepare for reintegration into society.

In This Role, You Will
  • Supervise and manage inmates while promoting rehabilitation and reintegration
  • Conduct searches, monitor inmate activities, and maintain a structured, secure environment
  • Use communication and problem-solving skills to defuse tense situations and maintain order
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure inmate welfare
To Be Successful In This Role, You\'ll Require
  • Willingness to complete Certificate III in Correctional Practice (fully funded)
  • Strong communication, empathy, and resilience
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and solve problems with sound judgment
  • Physical fitness to meet role demands
  • A valid Driver's Licence

As this is a position of trust, shortlisted candidates will undergo a Police Check and full probity assessment.
