What we are looking for:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to drive the delivery of a specific stream of projects within the Council's SaaS ERP and business transformation initiatives, ensuring the realization of agreed organizational business benefits. The role is initially to 30 June 2027.

You will oversee the execution of detailed tasks while keeping sight of the "big picture," making key contributions to the development and improvement of processes and procedures across the Council.

What your day will look like:

• Plan, coordinate and supervise all activities related to the ongoing development, design, administration and support of a particular projects stream within the ERP system implementation.
• Create and maintain project plans inclusive of communication plan, responsibility plan, schedule, and budget.
• Lead business and functional requirements definition and prioritisation of requirements.
• Prepare reports for regarding the status of projects and/or specific issues/concerns as required.
• Lead internal project team meetings and meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Negotiate, procure, engage and manage external consultants to undertake specialist services as required by project stages.

What you'll need for success:

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has it all. However, if you're a project manager but don't quite meet all the criteria, we would still like to receive your application.

• Tertiary qualification (AQF 7 or above) in an IT, Business or other related discipline and/or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of Technology One suite or similar.
• Experience in project management including business process improvement, problem analysis and resolution, change management, and vendor/supplier management.
• Strong communication skills with experience in project report writing and issues analysis.
• Ability to lead a team and collaborate within a team environment. Commit to ongoing learning and development including knowledge sharing.
• Demonstrated commitment to applying the principles and practices of excellent customer service to internal/external clients.

What's nice to have:

• Previous similar technical project leadership role.
• Working knowledge of Local Government.
