The Role :
We're looking for a passionate Front of House (FOH) Team Leader to join our team at our new club in Tingalpa. In this vital role, you'll be responsible for managing customer service delivery to our members & overseeing the reception team. You will assist member enquiries with heartfelt professional service, providing every person who calls Fitness Cartel or walks through our doors with memorable experiences. This diverse role involves greeting members personally, managing customer queries over the phone, and driving KPIs related to customer service & retention.
Key Responsibilities :
- Engage with members face-to-face at the reception desk, delivering excellent customer service.
- Manage overdue accounts and assist with member account enquiries.
- Supervise and train the Reception team, providing ongoing support.
- Work with the team to meet and exceed customer service targets and KPIs.
- Answer calls, handle queries, and support member feedback.
- Utilise computer systems to look up member details, create access key tags, process purchases, and assist with class bookings.
- Perform café duties, including using a coffee machine and preparing protein shakes via the shake app.
- Maintain a clean and tidy venue, including the reception, café area, supplement shelves, and apparel displays.
- Prioritise and complete tasks efficiently.
- Support retail activities by selling and discussing apparel and supplement products.
- Assist Club Operations Managers with various duties.
- Perform other related duties as required.
What you'll need to succeed :
- At least 3 years of supervisory customer service experience with excellent communication skills.
- Financially driven with a focus on achieving targets.
- Experience in a KPI-driven environment.
- Ability to build rapport with diverse individuals and support their goals.
- Problem-solving skills and resilience.
- Outstanding communication, listening, and influencing abilities.
- Customer-focused attitude aiming for exceptional outcomes.
- Role model qualities, living healthy values and behaviours.
- A positive, proactive attitude with a desire to learn and grow.
- Passion for health and fitness, and industry enthusiasm.
- Reliability, professionalism, punctuality, and a neat appearance.
- Strong work ethic and motivation.
- Ability to multitask, show initiative, and work well in a team.
- Computer literacy and adaptability to new systems.
- Ability to communicate policies and procedures effectively.
- Current First Aid & CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain).
- Flexibility to work hours aligned with gym operations.
