When the House Supervisor is off shift, you'll step up and take the reins—ensuring a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where every resident feels valued. As a key part of our Out of Home Care Program, you'll collaborate closely with the House Supervisor and Residential Care Coordinator, playing a vital role in delivering compassionate care, fostering growth, and creating an environment where young people can truly thrive.

We have 2 Full-Time opportunities based in Meadow Heights and Fawkner, VIC within our Out of Home Care Program. The positions report to the House Supervisor.

• Hourly Rateof $44.58 to $47.97 as outlined in the SCHADS Award Level 4, dependent on qualification and experience. Penalty and allowances are applied on top of hourly rate.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, lead and support a team of residential care workers.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the residential care field, particularly within a therapeutic environment.
• Proven ability to relate to and work with young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Requirements:

• Hold a current and valid Driver's Licence;
• Hold a current and valid Employee Working with Children Check
• Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
• Hold a valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check
• Relevant Diploma with substantial experience, including four (4) additional mandatory competencies (top up units)
