About the role
An exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and skilled Occupational Therapist to join Eastern Health, working with a Rehabilitation inpatient population, including work with neurological inpatients. This position is involved in providing evidence based occupational therapy assessment and interventions, while supporting complex decision making and effective discharge planning, with this varied and rewarding caseload. The successful applicant will supervise occupational therapists and students and will participate in quality and research projects. You will work closely with our supportive allied health team to provide excellent patient care.
About you
To be successful in this role you should possess :
AHPRA RegistrationDemonstrated clinical experience in subacute occupational therapyStrong interest in neurological rehabilitationExcellent communication and organisational skillsAbility to be flexible and change work priorities as required in a dynamic serviceA strong commitment to high quality, values based careStrong commitment to collaborative interdisciplinary teamwork and patient centered practiceHealthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
