The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our busy and growing Emerald branch as a Workshop Co-ordinator.

Reporting to the Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, organising, and supervising the service workshop operations to meet customer requirements. You will work closely with your team to achieve department budgets and KPI's.

Your duties will include:

  • Maintaining work schedules to ensure efficient utilisation of equipment and resources
  • Motivating workshop fitters and apprentices, prioritising safety and excellence
  • Allocating resources and labour effectively for timely service delivery
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction in machine performance, product, workmanship, and warranty
  • Ensuring compliance with WHS responsibilities and fostering a safety-first culture
  • Applying QA processes and ensuring compliance with all workshop systems
  • Managing Work In Progress (WIP) of workshop work orders, controlling costs, and seeking process improvements
About You

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Relevant diesel or mobile plant mechanic trade qualifications
  • Supervisory experience with strong leadership skills
  • A safety focus with a solid understanding of WHS principles
  • Experience in maintaining earthmoving equipment (experience with Hitachi equipment is an advantage)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Initiative to support continuous improvement and drive change
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on stakeholder engagement
