About the RoleReporting to the Principal, People Analytics, the Analyst Data Integration role is accountable for the ingestion and mapping of operational data into workforce planning models; ensures data integrity, linkage across systems, and readiness for scenario analysis. In particular, this role will have several responsibilities within the team:
Data Analysis and Insights- Utilise advanced analytical tools and methodologies to analyse workforce trends, demographics, and performance metrics. Reconcile actuals to targets and develop data mappings and objects for the reconciliation exercise.
- Support labour modelling efforts including analysis of labour drivers, interpretation of results and troubleshooting of labour models.
- Conduct scenario planning exercises to anticipate future workforce needs and challenges.
- Provide recommendations and solutions to mitigate potential risks and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Lead efforts to forecast workforce needs based on business growth, market dynamics, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with HR partners to develop strategies for better forecasting
- Partner with HR, business leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of workforce planning initiatives with overall business strategies.
- Communicate workforce insights and recommendations effectively to drive informed decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Stay abreast of technological advancements and leverage tools to enhance workforce planning processes and people analytical capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Information technology, Data, Analytics, or a related field.
- Data engineering, data visualisation and python experience will be advantageous
- 5+ years of experience in workforce planning, talent management, or a related field.
- Proven track record of utilizing advanced analytics to drive workforce decisions.
- Strong understanding of HR metrics, data visualization, and predictive modelling.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data-driven insights in a clear and compelling manner.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functional areas and influence decision-makers at various organizational levels.

Where you will be working
This role offers a Monday to Friday roster based at Rio Tinto's Perth head office at the Central Park building. Some work will be required at the Operation Centre (Perth Airport) office.
