We are seeking a Financial Crime Governance & Reporting Lead with deep financial crime compliance expertise and a strong background in AML/CTF, regulatory reporting, and strategic governance. This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity at SkyCity Adelaide, ideal for an experienced professional ready to lead from the front.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and refine AML governance, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Design, implement and optimise AML processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness; collaborate with Compliance, Risk, and Operations.
  • Monitor KPIs to assess the effectiveness of AML controls, identify emerging risks and trends, and perform secretariat duties for senior management committees.
  • Manage internal and external reporting; lead audit preparations with thorough documentation and readiness.
  • Foster a strong compliance culture through training programs and awareness initiatives.

A background in policy application, committee and board reporting and managing critical AML artifacts will be vital to meeting SkyCity's financial crime obligations and cultivating a strong compliance culture across the business.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher with at least 6 years' experience in AML, financial crime, regulatory compliance or related fields with a strong track record in governance and reporting.
  • Deep understanding of AML regulations, industry standards and best practices to drive effective compliance strategies.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills to lead cross-functional teams and influence all levels of the organisation.
  • Proficiency in governance and reporting to ensure robust oversight and transparency.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CAMS, ICA) are a must.

It is preferred the successful candidate will have had experience in:

  • Training and mentoring to enhance organisational understanding of AML regulations.
  • Leading and influencing performance in alignment with FC governance regulations.
  • Policy design when implementing AML processes and frameworks.
  • Quality assurance in assessing the effectiveness of controls and driving continuous improvement in compliance quality.
  • Market research to identify external regulatory development and benchmark organisation practices against industry standards.
