ICT Support Technician (Customer Support)

We are Mansys Pty Ltd, recruitment consultants. Our client, Prolim Technologies, based in Moorabbin (VIC), is actively seeking an ICT Support Technician (Customer Support) to join their team on a permanent full-time basis. Prolim Technologies in Australia provides end-to-end Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and engineering solutions, including CAD/CAM/CAE tools such as SolidEdge, NX, Teamcenter, Simcenter, and IoT platforms. As a Siemens Expert Partner, they offer consulting, implementation, training, customization, and support to enhance innovation, efficiency, and profitability for businesses across ANZ.

They are looking for a dedicated and technically skilled ICT Support Technician (Customer Support) to join their dynamic team in Melbourne on a full-time basis. Your role will involve providing essential support, education, and guidance in deploying and maintaining clients' computer infrastructure. You will diagnose and resolve technical problems, directly contributing to clients' engineering and product development success.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Respond to inquiries and provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for PLM, CAM, and CAD software and hardware issues.
  2. Support clients with Siemens PLM solutions, ensuring timely resolution of user issues with minimal disruption.
  3. Determine software and hardware requirements to provide effective solutions.
  4. Diagnose, identify, and resolve system problems and user-reported issues related to software functionality, data access, and workflows.
  5. Install, download, and configure PLM system infrastructure, including applications like Teamcenter and its integrations.
  6. Develop and conduct user training sessions and create technical documentation, such as procedural and operational guides.
  7. Liaise with users and senior engineers to resolve complex technical issues, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
Must Have
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering or Information Technology.
  • Demonstrated experience (minimum of X years) in PLM software support, particularly with Siemens Teamcenter and CAD software like Solid Edge, NX, and Rhino.
Skills Required
  • Proven expertise in PLM implementation and support, especially Siemens Teamcenter (including Rich Client, Active Workspace, & BMIDE).
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software, including Solid Edge Portfolio, NX Portfolio, and Rhino.
  • In-depth knowledge of PLM modules such as Requirement Management, Change Management, BOM Management, and MCAD Integration.
  • Technical skills including TCL, VB.NET, HTML.

The successful candidate will receive an annual salary of $80,000 - $90,000 plus bonus and superannuation. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
