Infection Control Coordinator

Infection Control Coordinator role at Ramsay Health Care, John Flynn Private Hospital. Permanent Part Time 64 hours/fortnight.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and qualified Registered Nurse or Clinical Nurse to step into the role of Infection Control Clinical Coordinator at John Flynn Private Hospital. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Clinical Services, the successful applicant is responsible for maintaining the infection prevention and control programs to ensure safety and quality within the hospital. This position is a role model and acts as a resource for all clinical and non-clinical departments in all areas related to the prevention and management of risks associated with infection control.

• Maintain infection prevention and control programs to ensure safety and quality within the hospital.
• Act as a resource and role model for all clinical and non-clinical departments regarding prevention and management of infection control risks.
• Support the Director of Clinical Services in implementing and maintaining infection control programs.

• Current AHPRA registration as Registered Nurse
• Previous experience within Infection Control or an active desire to enhance and develop Infection Control skills
• High level critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work as a team member and independently when required
• Excellent computer skills using the MS Office suite
• Demonstrated ability to be a motivated, enthusiastic and positive role model for all clinical and non-clinical disciplines
• Excellent work ethic and time management skills, with responsibility to implement and maintain Infection Control programs in conjunction with the Director of Clinical Services
• Support developmental growth of nominated staff in Infection Control roles
• Obtain a Hand Hygiene Auditor Certificate
• Post graduate qualification in Infection Prevention & Control is desirable, not essential

$103,650 to $111,521 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

• Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
