Personal Care Worker - permanent part time, night shift

Assisi Aged Care (Assisi) is a not for profit residential aged care service with a predominantly Italian resident profile, located in the leafy North Eastern suburb of Rosanna.

Overview

We are looking for a suitably qualified Personal Care Worker with prior experience in residential aged care and with permanent working rights in Australia, to join a motivated and committed team providing quality care for residents during the night time period. The position is permanent part time for a minimum of 47.5 hours per fortnight (5 shifts).

The fixed roster pattern is:

  • Week 1: Monday and Tuesday, 9.30pm – 7.30am
  • Week 2: Monday, Tuesday and Sunday, 9.30pm – 7.30am

You may nominate for additional available shifts that occur due to vacancies at short notice.

Responsibilities

Deliver care and services to residents that reflect the physical, social and emotional needs and preferences of residents.

Support the independence, dignity and choice of residents.

Work cooperatively with other members of the care team.

Key Selection Criteria
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or IV in Ageing Support
  • Experience working in residential aged care, including night shifts
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Kindness and empathetic understanding of the needs of older persons
  • Sound computer skills
  • Ability to speak Italian is highly regarded
  • The right to work in Australia
  • Preferred candidates will be vaccinated against COVID-19 (3 vaccinations)
