About The Role

The Personal Care Worker role is part of an integrated team providing high quality personal care to residents within an established framework. The position supports the provision of care to residents at Calvary Huntly Suites facility, Caulfield, VIC. Casual shifts are available at this facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support residents to live the life they choose, enabling choice and independence.
  • Address residents' physical, emotional and lifestyle needs through assessment and observation.
  • Implement clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse and as documented in the resident's plan of care.
  • Assist residents with personal care and hygiene while encouraging independence.
About You / Qualifications
  • Certificate III in individual support, or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Ability to engage with residents and experience in dementia support.
  • Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, empathy and patience with the aged person and their needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide holistic care; respect for residents' privacy, dignity and self-esteem.
  • Commitment to continuous quality improvement; working knowledge of WHS and Infection Control.
