About Us

headspace provides support to young people aged 12-25 experiencing mild to moderate or emerging mental health issues. The multidisciplinary team at headspace Shellharbour works to improve health, social, vocational and educational outcomes for young people. Grand Pacific Health is the lead agency of headspace Shellharbour. We are a not-for-profit, primary health care organisation providing locally-tailored, high quality physical and mental health services across NSW and the ACT.

The Position

The Clinical Psychology Registrar headspace Shellharbour will work collaboratively with young people and their family to identify their support needs, goals and develop collaborative care plans. The position provides high quality psycho-social assessment and evidence-based, focused psychological interventions to young people aged 12 to 25 referred to headspace Shellharbour, within the guidelines of the Medicare Better Access to Mental Health Care initiatives.

This position is based in Shellharbour and is a Part Time opportunity (15 hours per week), fixed term until 30 June 2026.

We Are Looking For Someone With
  • Current AHPRA registration as a registered psychologist, working towards clinical endorsement as a registrar.
  • Eligible for a registered psychologist Medicare rebate.
  • Experience in assessment and diagnosis of mental health disorders, and provision of evidence-based focused psychological strategies.
  • An understanding of key issues in relation to the health and wellbeing needs of young people with mental health and/or substance use problems.
