GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) is an ASX listed engineering consulting and contracting organisation providing high quality process engineering design and construction services to the resources and mineral processing industry. The Opportunity

We are on the lookout for an experienced Senior 2D Layout Designer to join our Head Office team located in Ascot, WA to work across a number of significant projects. You will play an integral role in providing plant layout design for mineral process plants and bulk material handling projects.

Your typical day will consist of (but not limited to)

  • Preparing plant layouts and detailed drawings as per project requirements
  • Reviewing vendor drawings and design data
  • Contribute technical and design assistance to provide design solutions in consultation with Lead Designer and Lead Engineer
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy and quality in the design documentation produced for activities under their control
  • Liaising with all relevant personnel where required to produce accurate design documentation
  • Designing with all relevant disciplines and ensuring design coordination of any multi-disciplined activities

What We Are Looking For

  • A solid background in mineral processing and bulk materials handling projects
  • Advanced Diploma of Engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience with Solid Edge desirable; training provided
  • A minimum of 10 years' design experience
  • Knowledge of current design and detail drafting standards
  • Detailed knowledge of CAD design packages and CAD systems (AutoCAD preferred)
  • Understanding EPC and EPCM culture goals
  • High level communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills in a design context
  • Full and unrestricted Australian work rights
