The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Piping Draftsperson to join our growing office team based in Ascot, WA. Reporting to the Drawing Office Manager, you will play an integral role in the design of wet and dry mineral process plants and bulk material handling projects. With a solid pipeline of work, this is an exciting time to join GRES with the opportunity for you to develop alongside us.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead piping design efforts for large-scale EPC projects from conception to completion
  • Produce models and detailed technical drawings, in accordance with standards, policies and procedures
  • Communicate with the project team, provide updates, raise issues and attend team meetings
  • Coordinate with the design and engineering teams to ensure designs are accurate, feasible and meet project requirements
  • Deliver and contribute to practical solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior team members
  • Develop piping layouts and detailed drawings based on project requirements and specifications
  • Ensure the quality of deliverables in line with the relevant codes and standards, needs of the customer and regulatory authorities
Skills/Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of multi-discipline experience in piping design and drafting within the EPC environment
  • Proficient in the design layout of mineral processing plants
  • Advanced diploma or equivalent in Engineering is desirable
  • Experience with SolidEdge, SolidWorks or Inventor is desirable
  • Must have full and unrestricted Australian working rights
