We have one permanent part-time position available (20 hours per week) and four casual positions to assist across various hospitals and collection centres in the region. What You'll Be Doing

• Contribute to a customer-focused pathology collection service across inpatient, outpatient and home care settings.
• Provide a high-quality healthcare service to all referrers and consumers.
• Perform venepuncture and other duties related to specimen collection, data entry, processing, and delivery to sites for pathology investigations.

Qualifications and Selection Criteria

• Certificate III in Pathology Collections and/or experience in venepuncture or willingness to learn all aspects of the clinical environment relevant to the Department.
• Demonstrated customer service experience and effective communication with patients, carers, and clinical staff.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues in the clinical environment including specimen preparation and transport.
• Familiarity with pathology terminology and willingness to learn collection, data entry and specimen preparation practices, including paediatric and neonate collections.
• Unencumbered Class C Driver's License (NSW) or ability to travel to any site for a shift.
• Willingness to participate in shift work including weekends and travel within the operational area as required.
• Ability to manage a demanding professional environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Proficient computer skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
