Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity on the beautiful Central Coast? Our Collection Services Department is seeking Medical Laboratory Assistants to join our team. We have one permanent part-time position available (20 hours per week) and four casual positions to assist across various hospitals and collection centres in the region. These roles suit individuals committed to delivering high-quality patient care, who enjoy a fast-paced environment and are flexible with travel and shift availability.

What You'll Be Doing
- Contribute to a customer-focused pathology collection service across inpatient, outpatient and home care settings.
- Provide a high-quality healthcare service to all referrers and consumers.
- Perform venepuncture and other duties related to specimen collection, data entry, processing, and delivery to sites for pathology investigations.
Qualifications and Selection Criteria
- Certificate III in Pathology Collections and/or experience in venepuncture or willingness to learn all aspects of the clinical environment relevant to the Department.
- Demonstrated customer service experience and effective communication with patients, carers, and clinical staff.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues in the clinical environment including specimen preparation and transport.
- Familiarity with pathology terminology and willingness to learn collection, data entry and specimen preparation practices, including paediatric and neonate collections.
- Unencumbered Class C Driver's License (NSW) or ability to travel to any site for a shift.
- Willingness to participate in shift work including weekends and travel within the operational area as required.
- Ability to manage a demanding professional environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Proficient computer skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
