We are currently looking for a full-time, permanent Commercial Partnerships Manager to join our Membership & Engagement team.

About the role

The Commercial Partnership Manager plays a key role in enhancing member value, generating revenue, and strengthening relationships with our commercial partners. This role requires relationship management, sales skills, and strategic thinking to provide high-quality benefits to members, maximize commercial opportunities, and uphold our brand integrity.

This is an excellent opportunity to implement insights from a recent commercial review and shape our future partnership and sales strategies. The Manager will ensure members access valuable benefits from trusted partners while driving growth through advertising and sponsorship. You will also coach and develop your team to build confidence, improve sales capabilities, and prioritize members' needs.

The team maintains strong partner relationships, secures new opportunities across events and publications, and tracks engagement and campaign performance to deliver insights that optimize results for both members and partners.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage and nurture relationships with all member benefit partners, providing high-level service; report on engagement and feedback.
  2. Negotiate partnership agreements, ensuring contract compliance, service quality, and mutual benefits.
  3. Prioritize member needs in all partnership decisions, assessing suitability, alignment, and value.
  4. Analyze member feedback and engagement data to evaluate benefit uptake, satisfaction, and strategic direction.
  5. Develop and execute a clear sales strategy based on recent commercial insights.
  6. Identify, pursue, and convert leads for advertising opportunities across various channels (print, website, EDM).
  7. Create tailored sponsorship and advertising proposals to attract event partners.
  8. Build and maintain a sales pipeline, consistently achieving revenue targets.
  9. Stay informed about the legal landscape and member needs to identify new opportunities.
  10. Track and analyze sales performance metrics, making recommendations to improve results.
  11. Report regularly to partners and senior management on engagement, ROI, and opportunities.
  12. Identify trends and growth opportunities, making strategic recommendations.
  13. Manage and develop direct reports to meet team and organizational goals.
  14. Collaborate with marketing, events, professional development, membership, and communications teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
  15. Foster cross-department collaboration to maximize revenue and engagement, including working with marketing on initiatives.

About you

  • Track record of revenue growth through partnerships, advertising, or sponsorships.
  • Experienced in negotiating contracts, managing relationships, and budgets.
  • Strong in analyzing engagement data and reporting insights to stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing and nurturing talent.

About the team

The Commercial Partnerships team manages member benefit partnerships and drives revenue through advertising and sponsorship. It is part of the Membership and Engagement Department, supporting strategic engagement and marketing efforts.
