Overview

Peoplebank are recruiting for an ETL Developer to work for their client based in the Adelaide CBD, on a 12 month fixed term contract (salaried, directly for the client). Working within an agile team, the ETL Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining robust ETL processes to facilitate the extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources into the data warehouse or other target systems in the ongoing development and enhancement of the client's data systems.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate with business analysts and SMEs to define, understand and document business requirements.
  • Design, code and document complex programs and scripts from agreed specifications, using agreed standards and tools, delivering well-engineered results.
  • Identify and manage risks that are likely to affect delivery of system releases.
  • Develop estimates of effort and duration for development tasks, monitor own progress and continually improve estimating accuracy.
  • Report on progress, anomalies, risks and issues associated with allocated development tasks.
  • Contribute technical expertise to requirements analysis to enhance the quality of solution design and to improving solution processes within the organisation.
  • Data Analytics: assess data availability and usability, prepare data for analysis, manipulate and model data, communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Data Extraction & Analysis: work with comprehensive data assets, apply advanced querying techniques, access and query large datasets, follow data privacy and security protocols, resolve data-related challenges, and maintain documentation of data access processes and derivations.
Qualifications / Skills
  • Proven experience as an ETL developer using DataStage, SQL, TOAD/DB Visualiser and Data Warehouse environments.
  • Knowledge of RDBMS databases such as DB2, data modelling and experience in dimensional modelling.
  • Knowledge of DataStage Administrator components and experience using JIRA in an Agile environment.
  • Proven experience in the planning and execution of projects.
  • Relevant qualification in information management, ICT, IT or related discipline.
