Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ETL Developer to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract. As an ETL Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust ETL processes to facilitate the extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources into the data warehouse or other target systems.


Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate with business analysts and SMEs to define, understand and document business requirements.
  • Design, code and document complex programs and scripts from agreed specifications, using agreed standards and tools, delivering well-engineered results.
  • Identify and manage risks that are likely to affect delivery of system releases.
  • Develop estimates of effort and duration for development tasks, monitor own progress and continually improve estimating accuracy.
  • Report on progress, anomalies, risks and issues associated with allocated development tasks.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as an ETL developer using DataStage, SQL, TOAD/DB Visualiser and Data Warehouse environments.
  • Knowledge of RDBMS databases such as DB2, data modelling and experience in dimensional modelling.
  • Knowledge of DataStage Administrator components and experience using JIRA in an Agile environment.
  • Proven experience in the planning and execution of projects.
  • Relevant qualification in information management, ICT, IT or related discipline.
