Position Details

Year 7 Coordinator – Fixed Term, Full-time

The Year 7 Coordinator's focus is on the pastoral care, wellbeing, and engagement of the Year 7 cohort. This role requires close collaboration with students, teachers, and parents to ensure that students feel connected, supported, and encouraged during their transition to secondary education.

The successful applicant will be a member of the School's Middle Leadership Team, sharing responsibility for the effective delivery of quality Catholic education at St Joseph's School and providing a strong role model for staff.

Time will be allocated for administration and pastoral care duties, and the applicant will be expected to undertake teaching in their preferred Learning Area(s). For more details, refer to the Role Description available on our website.

Selection Criteria

Applicants should possess the following:

  • Commitment to the teachings and values of the Catholic Church
  • Ability to teach in multiple Learning Areas (HASS, English, Mathematics, Science, or HPE)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective staff management strategies
  • Minimum 7 years of outstanding classroom teaching experience
  • Strong skills in integrating ICT into teaching and learning
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Current or in-progress accreditation for Middle Leaders
Qualifications Required
  • Relevant 4-year tertiary qualifications
