Overview

Global Trade Control Specialist role at Boeing. Hybrid capacity in Brisbane, Melbourne or Adelaide. Boeing Australia Global Trade Controls team focuses on regulatory export requirements and trade controls to support Boeing's global growth.

About the Role

Global Trade Controls is a governance team that fosters compliance and helps identify and mitigate risks across the enterprise. The role provides guidance on export requirements and supports Boeing entities and programs across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Boeing entities, including commercial and defence programs, with guidance across regulatory export requirements, focusing on US, Australian and New Zealand legislation.
  • Implement internal controls for trade control compliance, direct trade control activity, and advise on incorporating trade control requirements into program and functional processes and procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between Boeing and customers and suppliers for trade control-related matters.
  • Analyse applicability of trade control requirements relating to both DCS and FMS procurement methods.
  • Assist with planning of export licensing requirements for contracted activities and potential future activities.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience)
  • Knowledge of sovereign Australian export controls regulations, US ITAR and US EAR.
  • Acquisition experience in the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) or Prime Contractor organisation; and/or
  • Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics and Customs Procedures.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills when working with managers and supervisors.
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law or related disciplines.
