Master Builders SA is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Field Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the construction industry, promoting apprenticeships and traineeships, and supporting both apprentices and host employers across South Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing & Promotion:Promote Master Builders SA's Group Training concept to employers in the construction industry. Regularly market available apprenticeships and traineeships to industry stakeholders.
  • Employer Liaison:Develop and maintain relationships with current host employers, promoting the benefits of partnering with Master Builders SA for apprentice/trainee placements.
  • Apprentice Monitoring:Monitor the progress of apprentices both on and off the job. Provide feedback and recommend corrective action when necessary. Conduct regular visits (every 6 weeks) to ensure safety and performance standards are met.
  • Training Coordination:Organise additional training workshops for apprentices and trainees, often outside of normal working hours.
  • Recruitment & Selection:Assist with recruiting new apprentices by promoting Master Builders SA's at careers nights and schools. Participate in the interview and assessment process for new candidates.
  • General Duties:Assist the General Manager of Apprenticeships with various other tasks, such as debt recovery, promoting Master Builders SA's at industry events, and ensuring compliance with WHS regulations.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in negotiating, coordinating, and planning activities across diverse groups.
  • Previous experience working with apprentices or trainees is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in sales and promotional activities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in supervising others.
  • Proficient in using relevant computer software.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Current Class 1 Driver's Licence.
  • Construction Industry White Card.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Trade qualification or strong knowledge of the Building and Construction Industry.
  • Sound knowledge of VET in Schools and Work Health & Safety.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122).
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419).
