Job Description

The role

The Compliance Manager advises and guides partners, lawyers, and professionals on risk and compliance issues. The role reports to the HRC, working closely with the GHC, CR&CO, OMP, GM, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

The role involves leading compliance in the office or country, managing the compliance program, and developing relationships with key stakeholders. Responsibilities include ensuring local legal compliance, liaising with law societies, promoting global policies, and managing compliance risks.

Specific duties include advising on gifts and hospitality policies, implementing compliance systems, monitoring regulatory changes, and reporting on compliance activities and violations.

Qualifications

Your experience

Candidates should have at least 6 years of relevant experience, including:

  • Experience as a compliance professional or similar
  • Stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge of local legal and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience with policies on AML, anti-bribery, data privacy, insider trading
  • Training delivery experience
  • Professional compliance qualification and Australian legal qualifications are advantageous
