Management Accountant role at Freighter Group in Brooklyn, Victoria. Freighter Group is seeking a Management Accountant to join our team. We are a leading supplier of equipment, solutions, parts, and services to the road transport industry across Australasia. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a strong focus on retail and experience in manufacturing to help us achieve our ambitious strategy to be the most successful supplier in the region. As a key member of our Finance team, you'll provide timely and accurate support to our business operations, with a focus on retaining and optimising our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyse monthly financial and non-financial reports, and assist with daily and weekly reporting requirements. Monitor business unit performance against budgets and forecasts, and assist with annual budget preparation.
- Operational Support: Manage and maintain financial data within SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud; work with the CFO to develop measurements and improvements based on system reports. Partner with operational stakeholders, particularly in manufacturing, to provide insights and analysis that influence business decisions. This role also involves monthly account reconciliations and participation in bi-annual stocktakes.
Required Skills and Experience
- Education: Tertiary qualification in a finance discipline and qualification towards CA/CPA (or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum four years in a similar role, ideally with exposure to retail and manufacturing environments. Strong computer skills, especially with SAP and JDE, and advanced Microsoft Excel abilities; ability to analyse and manipulate data. Ideally hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
- Competencies: Strong problem-solving skills, business acumen, and the ability to build constructive relationships across all levels of the organisation. A proactive, results-driven approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
