Your role:

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our Dulux team, focusing on growing customers in the Southern suburbs and regional corridor. This exciting role is about developing stronger relationships with existing customers and increasing their wallet share by offering tailored solutions within the DuluxGroup Decorative Paints portfolio. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success of Dulux, working in a dynamic and supportive environment with a mix of experienced and new team members.

Operating within the Dulux Trade Sales Team, you'll be part of an inclusive culture that values diversity and the fresh perspectives it brings. With a focus on transactional sales and quick onboarding, you will identify and create new sales opportunities, drive profitable growth, and establish strong relationships with trade painters, including commercial contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a list of low wallet share customers, focusing on growth and increasing wallet share.
  • Collaborate with the Tele Sales team to receive qualified leads and convert them into long-term customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with trade painters and commercial painting contractors.
  • Profile accounts and create tailored business solutions to increase profitable sales of Decorative paints.
  • Adhere to DuluxGroup's Safety & Sustainability Policies while driving sales performance.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a business development sales role within a trade-facing environment.
  • Proven ability to work in a challenging environment and navigate complex sales issues.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with an ability to adapt your selling style to meet customer needs.
  • Self-motivated with a strong focus on achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to identify and leverage commercial drivers to target sell.
