Nintendo Australia is recruiting a Field Representative based in NSW to join our team on a 15-month, fixed-term parental leave contract.

Reporting into the Assistant Manager – Field & Trade Merchandising and working closely with the Sales Department, managers, and team members of other departments, this role is responsible for visiting retail stores to enhance Nintendo brand presence, product knowledge, and the overall in-store experience.

You will be expected to work in line with Nintendo\'s DNA – Originality, Flexibility and Sincerity – and Company Values – Open Communication, Consideration for Viewpoints of Others, Spirit of Service, Intellectual Curiosity and Originality & Flexibility.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring in-store presentation is consistently maintained to the highest standard across all retailers.
  • Completing all blitz executions promptly and to an excellent standard, in line with specified time frames.
  • Ensuring any Nintendo Interactive Units are clean and in excellent working order, performing updates and maintenance as required.
  • Meeting regularly with Store Managers, Store Department Managers, and Proprietors to plan for opportunities to expand Nintendo's in-store presence.
  • Reporting and escalating any existing Account issues directly to the Assistant Manager – Field & Trade Merchandising, Sales Manager, or relevant Account Executive.
  • Checking all reserves, cupboards, and drawers for Nintendo stock with the main priority being to make sure that all Nintendo stock is on the selling floor.
  • Maintaining an effective call cycle of Nintendo dealers in the defined geographic territory.
  • Repositioning Nintendo software into premium shelf locations (including ends) and setting up plan-o-grams as needed.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of Nintendo products on retailer shelving and fixtures.
  • Conducting stock on hand (SOH) and bay counts as required.
  • Arranging POS (point of sale) materials to be visually enticing to consumers and compliant with company standards.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality of the information used and/or gained in the role. This information should be treated with the utmost confidence and not revealed to any unauthorised third party.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in merchandising or a similar role.
  • A current, valid NSW driver\'s license.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic.
  • The ability to self-motivate and work autonomously.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
  • A good understanding of the consumer electronics industry.
