The Opportunity

Based at our Brisbane office, this role will afford the opportunity to lead and provide direction to other Engineers and project team members on signalling projects and present opportunities to work on many major rail infrastructure projects throughout QLD. In addition, the ability to support the expansion of UGL capability within the Rail Systems space. Great opportunities and pathways for this role to succeed within the team.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Achieve engineering targets and objectives as defined in the project program.
  2. Be responsible for the production of Project Documentation.
  3. Ensure that engineering elements of the project/s are coordinated across multiple groups and stakeholders.
  4. Coordinate project implementation with various project resources such as design, construction, commercial and financial.
  5. Track project performance in terms of quality, timeline, and costs and ensure the targets are met.
  6. Identify project risks and recommend mitigation actions to senior management.
  7. Coordinate the work packages with the project team.
  8. Assist the construction team with on-site equipment installation.

Requirements to be successful:

  1. Minimum of 3 years' experience within the Rail Systems industry.
  2. Signalling design and construct experience is essential.
  3. Degree in Electrical Engineering beneficial.
