This role is part of Alcon's Supply Chain function, a team that manages the logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics for Alcon's industry leading products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly.

The Sr. Associate, Warehouse & Distribution Operations, is primarily responsible for optimizing storage space and material flows for safety and efficiency in daily warehouse and distribution operations. You will coordinate logistics, manage inventory, and maintain records while operating equipment and applying advanced knowledge to enhance processes. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential. Specifics include:

• Perform specialized tasks in daily warehouse and distribution operations

• Optimize storage space and material flows for safety and efficiency

• Coordinate and execute inbound and outbound logistics activities, including coordination with warehouses and other relevant parties

• Manage inventory and coordinate shipments

• Maintain accurate records

• Operate equipment as required, with or without certification

• Conduct independent research and apply advanced knowledge to optimize warehouse and distribution processes, contributing to overall business performance

• Make decisions impacting specific projects and tasks, requiring advanced analytical skills

• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and work independently

• Drive operational excellence through specialized expertise

• Adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining accurate and complete documentation

• Ensure rigorous quality control, complete all required training, and commit to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance

Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations.

Skills and Experiences:

  • Strong knowledge of Excel, and MS is essential

  • Possess good interpersonal skills, with team player spirit, with strong learning agility

  • Ability to work independently, organized, and good time management with tight timescales

  • Analytical, and ability to mitigate risk

  • SAP knowledge is must

  • 3+ years' experience in Warehouse and transport knowledge
