Our client is a thriving Asian restaurant specializing in traditional dishes from across Asia, including Chinese, Thai, Japanese, and Vietnamese cuisine. They are committed to providing authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and exceptional hospitality to the Adelaide CBD community.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to lead their dynamic team and ensure exceptional dining experiences for their guests. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, cultural appreciation for Asian cuisine, and a proven track record in restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management

Oversee daily restaurant operations including dining room, kitchen coordination, and staff scheduling.

Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service consistency.

Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Handle customer concerns and feedback professionally.

Recruit, train, and develop front-of-house and back-of-house staff.

Create positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching.

Manage staff schedules and labor costs effectively.

Monitor daily sales, expenses, and profit margins.

Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports.

Control food and labor costs while maintaining quality standards.

Handle cash management and banking procedures.

Customer Experience

Maintain exceptional customer service standards.

Build relationships with regular customers and local community.

Handle special events, reservations, and private dining requests.

Address customer complaints and ensure satisfaction.

Required experience:

Minimum 3 years of management experience in a full-service restaurant.

Strong understanding of Asian cuisine and cultural dining preferences.

Experience with Asian restaurant operations or cuisine.

Previous experience in multicultural work environments.

Comfortable working in fast-paced kitchen and dining environments

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in restaurant POS systems and basic computer applications.

Knowledge of food safety regulations.

Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays ( working hours required are 45 hours a week).

Bilingual capabilities: English plus Mandarin and/or Cantonese preferred.
