I'm working exclusively with a well-established HVAC business that's entering a new phase - leaner, smarter, and ready for someone to take the reins operationally.
This is a rare opportunity for a senior HVAC professional with leadership experience to step into a critical #2 position, working directly alongside the owner to shape the business's future.
No corporate red tape. No bloated structures. Just a hands-on, well-run company that wants the right person to help drive performance, people, and profitability.
The OpportunityThis business has solid systems, a loyal client base, and a reputation for high standards.
They're not looking for someone to rip it all up and start again - they're looking for someone to refine, lead, and grow what's already working.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing day-to-day operations across service and projects
Leading a strong field and office team with a focus on performance and culture
Driving job profitability through smart planning and delivery
Supporting sales efforts and building client relationships
Systemising processes and freeing up the Director for strategic work
Becoming the operational backbone of the business
Who It SuitsThis role is ideal for someone with:
Up to 20 years experience in HVAC, ideally from a hands-on trade background (refrigeration, mechanical plumbing, or electrical)
Proven leadership capability in a delivery or operations role from a Commercial AC background
Strong commercial acumen - you understand margins, clients, and quoting
A calm, clear communication style and strong people skills
Someone who's ready to partner with a business owner, not just "manage"
This is not a desk job. It's a leadership role for someone who still likes to be close to the action - who leads by example and earns trust through experience and results
