Job Description

We are seeking a creative and precise Chef de Cuisine – Banqueting to lead our banqueting kitchen and a team of passionate culinary professionals. You will deliver high-impact experiences for weddings, galas, conferences, and bespoke events, while upholding the culinary reputation of our luxury hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and oversee daily kitchen operations for conference and event spaces, ensuring smooth service and exceptional food quality.
  2. Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design standout menus reflecting our luxury positioning and seasonal creativity.
  3. Mentor and motivate a team of chefs to exceed guest expectations.
  4. Work with Events, F&B, and Sales teams to deliver seamless and memorable events from concept to plate.
  5. Monitor and manage food costs, supplier relationships, and kitchen efficiencies while maintaining quality standards.
  6. Support other hotel dining outlets as needed, fostering collaboration and excellence across departments.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Senior Sous Chef in a luxury hotel or high-end catering environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a caring and coaching approach.
  • Creative flair and passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Good knowledge and practice of food hygiene standards.
  • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
