We have an exciting opportunity available for a Manager, Power Portfolio to join the Portfolio Strategy & Analytics team within the Energy Solutions division. This is a permanent full-time position based in Perth, WA, Sydney, NSW or Brisbane, QLD.

Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Strategy & Analytics, you will enable the delivery of Energy Solutions' strategy by leading the strategic planning for the power business and ensuring effective prioritisation of opportunities. This role will be at the forefront of the energy transition monitoring macro-economic factors to ensure optimal capital deployment. The Manager, Power Portfolio will also provide SME analytical support for power investment including through mergers and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic planning process for the power business including divisional plans and KPIs
• Contribute to the evolution of Energy Solutions' long term Power Development strategies
• Provide stewardship over the power forum and drive continuous improvement
• Maintain and enhance the strategic prioritisation framework
• Contribute to the development of key market models including the NEM and WEM to support strategic prioritisation
• Provide analytical support required in developing business cases for organic growth and M&A activity, along with contribution to board papers, ELT and other committee presentations
  
  

Your background

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline economics, commerce, or engineering
• Proven experience in energy/technoeconomic modelling
• Prior exposure to the National Electricity Market (Eastern Australia) and / or Wholesale Electricity Market (Western Australia)
• Extensive commercial acumen and experience with power purchase agreements
• Prior exposure to M&A activity (desirable)
