Overview Of The Role
Nyrstar Port Pirie is seeking a skilled Rigger/Crane Operator to become an integral part of our Asset Management Department. This is more than a job; it's a chance to ensure the safety and efficiency of our site operations.
The position description describes further aspects of this role including other desirable attributes and is available upon request.
The successful candidate will operate within an on-call roster to service the site out-of-hours requirements. This position directly reports to the Crane and Rigging Team Leader.
This is a residential role, based in Port Pirie, South Australia working on the 5/4 roster days only. This is an equal time dayshift only roster of 4 days on, 5 days off, 5 days on, 4 days off, 5 days on, 5 days off. This provides a great balance between work and play, with more days off than the usual two day weekend. This roster provides two weekends off per month for you to enjoy your lifestyle with family and friends, whilst building a successful career. - Current valid intermediate rigging (RI) licence.
- Current valid non slewing crane (CN) licence.
- Current valid elevated work platform (WP) licence.
- Current valid forklift (LF) licence.
- Current valid bridge & Gantry crane (CB) licence.
- Must be self-motivated, flexible, reliable and an ability to perform a variety of tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure, autonomously and as a team.
- Ability to manage a high volume of work, prioritise work and achieve results.
- Ability to deliver effective and clear communications using a range of methods.
