As a Business Support Officer, you will partner with other ASIC teams to provide seamless, integrated and timely operational support to Legal Services.
Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin or Hobart$ 94,198- $112,011 (depending on experience), plus 15.4% superannuation Permanent role Applications close at 11:59 pm AEST, Friday, 5 September 2025 The team The Legal Operations Team is responsible for directing and supporting business management and support services for LSG.
This team works closely with Legal Services Senior Executives and Senior Managers to deliver integrated and timely central management services and to ensure these services are delivered in line with ASIC wide priorities.
The role Step into a pivotal role where you can make a significant impact by supporting the strategic and operational needs of the LSG through effective delivery of budgeting, resourcing, reporting and compliance, and business process improvement.
As a Business Support Officer, you will support the Business Management Advisor and Legal Operations Manager to provide integrated and timely operational support to Legal Services.
In this role, you will be accountable for effectively assisting in the:management of the legal budget, variance analysis and forecastingcoordinate LSG contributions to strategic and business planning processes, including performance reporting across ASICassist with risk management by developing and maintaining a risk register and, coordinating monthly risk meetings,compliance activities, such as monitoring and updating processes and procedures, will also be part of your responsibilities Improving business processes About You We are seeking a talented and experienced individual with a background in Law, Commerce, Business Management, Finance or a related discipline.
The ideal candidate will have experience in any of the following legal operations budgeting, financial reporting, resource planning, business planning, risk or compliance.
Strong analytical skills are essential, with the ability to organize, analyse and disseminate financial information accurately.
Experience in implementing projects or business improvement initiatives involving multiple stakeholders is also required.
The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective networks and relationships.
Strong organisational and time management skills are crucial, as is the ability to meet deadlines while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Power BI, and Visio, is desirable, and knowledge of Share Point is an advantage.
