We create vibrant places across our state, through diverse and strategic property development and urban renewal projects.
As the Victorian Government's development arm, we revitalise iconic public buildings, create important community, creative and sporting facilities and repurpose public land, for all Victorians.
We also build great homes and communities where people and businesses can thrive, catering for different budgets, lifestyles, and people - designed to be sustainable and affordable.
Your New Role Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Investment Strategy, you will play a key role in supporting the strategic development and implementation of commercial models that facilitate investment and project delivery at Development Victoria.
You will provide data driven commercial advice to guide decision making across the organisation, contributing to the delivery of places that make a genuine difference to the people of Victoria.
Take full ownership of financial feasibility models, including preparing, interrogating and maintaining the integrity and commerciality of all inputs.
This includes proposing, producing and critically analysing options and sensitivities to support investment proposals for consideration by key stakeholders, including the Development Victoria Investment Committee and Board.
Partner with the Senior Manager and wider business to advise on appropriate investment strategies, from origination through to value-add repositioning of existing assets with any strategy recommendation to be appropriately supported by data and evidence, based on an assessment of project risk, return and policy objectives.
Conduct and apply macro level research that will form the basis of financial forecasting and assumptions that will be applied uniformly for the portfolio of investments.
Develop and maintain standardised financial models that can be applied to prospective acquisitions across various asset classes.
Work closely with the Finance and Operations Groups for the ongoing facilities, tenancy and funding management of property investments.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders through proactive and collaborative approaches.
This role is being re-advertised; previous applicants will not be reconsidered.

Either CA / CPA / CFA essential.
Expertise in the preparation and analysis of financial feasibility modelling, budgeting and tight cost monitoring to achieve commercial outcomes.
Strong stakeholder management experience, with the ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholder expectations.
Experience driving or delivering process improvements to ensure financial integrity and the analysis of complex strategic matters can be undertaken efficiently.
Ability to effectively manage and synthesise large quantities of data for business presentations and use in financial modelling.
Experience in the property industry and Estate Master experience viewed favourably.
