Role Role & Responsibilities: Campus Principal Arrowsmith F-1 Campus
Leadership & Governance
Lead and manage all dimensions of the Junior Campus, ensuring high standards in education, wellbeing, and operational effectiveness in alignment with Department of Education requirements.
Serve on the Principal Team, Executive Leadership Team, and as a member of the School Council, providing strategic input
Drive implementation of improvement initiatives aligned with the School Strategic Plan (SSP), Annual Implementation Plan (AIP), and broader school priorities.
Oversee staff performance reviews, professional development, and resource management, including budgets and operational resources
Campus Operations Management
Lead day-to-day operations of the Junior Campus: manage staff, students, and daily routines such as bulletins, yard duty rosters, timetables, and campus assemblies.
Ensure compliance and safety via oversight of Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) and Emergency Management Plans (EMP).
Lead transition initiatives from Kinder to Foundation and Grade 1 to 2, and manage enrolments and exits.
Student Engagement, Wellbeing & Inclusion
Manage high-level student behaviour and crisis responses.
Lead and support the delivery of Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) across all tiers.
Support the implementation of the Disability Inclusion (DI) initiative and support teachers with individual student plans¿Safety Plans, Behaviour Support, Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and Attendance Plans.
Facilitate Student Support Group meetings.
Student Attendance Oversight Lead and support the school¿s Staged Response to Attendance, with a focus on monitoring attendance and supporting vulnerable students.
Teaching & Learning Support
Assist in implementing VTLM 2.0 (Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0).
Engage in Learning Walks & Talks, participate actively in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), and support staff with Professional Learning (PL).
First Nations Leadership
Lead development and implementation of the Marrung Aboriginal Education Plan.
Support the senior campus-based Marrung leader
Participate in Marrung DET regional forums to strengthen cultural inclusion.

Responsibilities Typically, assistant principals perform one or more of the following functions:
supervision and coordination of the work of senior curriculum or level coordinators; allocation of budgets, positions of responsibility and other resources within the area of responsibility; supervision of the delivery of teaching programs; management of programs to improve the knowledge and experience of staff; responsibility for general discipline matters beyond the management of classroom teachers and year level coordinators; contribute to the overall management of the school;
Who May Apply Appropriately qualified individuals currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.

Other Information This is a 3 year tenure position.
VIT LANTITETo be eligible for employment, transfer or promotion in the principal or teacher class a person must have provisional or full registration from the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
In addition, from 3 August 2020, to be eligible for employment in the principal class or teacher class, a person who graduated from a Victorian Initial Teacher Education program after 1 July 2016, must demonstrate that they have passed the literacy and numeracy test for initial teacher education (LANTITE) requirements.
This condition is satisfied where the LANTITE requirement is part of the Victorian Initial Teacher Education program completed by the person.
