Known for their commitment to innovation, quality, and customer experience, they are seeking a highly strategic and commercially astute Head of Finance to lead their finance, shipping, IT, and property functions.
About The Opportunity As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will partner closely with the Managing Director to shape and execute the financial strategy, ensuring long-term business sustainability and growth.
This role is pivotal in delivering financial and operational excellence while driving business performance across a multi-channel retail environment.
Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Leadership - Drive strategic financial planning, oversee cash flow management, and provide commercial insights to optimise profitability.
Financial Operations & Reporting - Ensure robust financial controls, reporting, and compliance to support informed decision-making at board level.
Business Performance & Growth - Provide financial guidance on sales forecasting, cost management, and investment decisions, partnering closely with retail, digital, and operations teams.
Risk & Compliance - Maintain governance standards, manage financial risk, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Leadership & Team Development - Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience CA/CPA qualification with extensive experience in senior financial leadership, ideally as a CFO or Head of Finance.
Deep expertise in the retail and apparel industry (essential).
Strong commercial acumen, with experience in cost management, profitability drivers, and strategic financial planning.
Proven success in influencing and engaging with executive leadership, board members, and key stakeholders.
Experience in a privately owned business or family-group portfolio is highly regarded.
A hands-on, solutions-driven approach, with the ability to operate both strategically and operationally.
