Security Engineer Security Analyst Threat Analyst Intelligence Analyst YOUR ROLETrack and analyse security alerts from tools like SIEM, EDR, SOAR, Canaries, and Firewalls.
Identify and assess potential threats, recommend fixes, and help coordinate responses with internal and external teams.
Write clear reports and perform quality checks on playbooks and documentation.
Build strong working relationships with peers and clients to ensure smooth teamwork and support.
Help improve tools and processes, while staying up to date with cybersecurity trends Overnight and weekend shifts, as required Your Experience Final-year student or recent graduate in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related discipline (graduating by early 2026).
Proven leadership through work, internships, or extracurriculars; skilled communicator who thrives in team settings and engages stakeholders effectively.
Excellent interpersonal and organisational abilities; capable of juggling multiple priorities with ease.
Strong presentation and client-facing skills, committed to delivering quality service outcomes.
Problem Solving mindset with experience in evaluating security incidents and crafting thoughtful responses.
Self-driven learner excited by the cybersecurity space, proficient in MS Office and digital tools.
AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE ROLES & SECURITYA Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.

In some cases, individuals who hold a current clearance from a foreign government may be eligible to have this clearance recognised by the Australian Government and be eligible for this role.
The Australian Defence Trade Controls Act (DTCA) is applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
