About the Role We are seeking an inspired and strategic Director of Service Delivery (Housing, Homelessness and Domestic Violence) to lead trauma-informed, gender-responsive services across the housing continuum from crisis and transitional accommodation to long-term affordable housing.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will oversee a diverse unit of programs supporting people experiencing homelessness, domestic and family violence, and intersectional disadvantage.
This includes services for older women, single men, people with uncertain visa status, diverse families, child-focused support, outreach, advocacy, community development, tenancy and property management, and violence prevention.
You'll provide hands-on leadership to ensure collaborative, innovative, and client-centred service delivery.
Supporting four program leaders, you'll drive agile and responsive operations, foster strong staff engagement, and deliver meaningful outcomes for service users.

Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all YWCA Canberra housing and homelessness programs, ensuring integrated, best-practice service delivery and a no 'wrong door' approach.
Provide hands-on leadership and supervision to four senior staff, resolving complex issues with expert judgment.
Identify and develop new service opportunities aligned with strategic goals.
Oversee budgets, reporting, and funding submissions with transparency and precision.
Implement evaluation mechanisms to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
Develop and execute an annual operational plan.
Champion a culture of safety, collaboration, reflective practice, and trauma-informed care.
Represent YWCA Canberra in tenancy-related matters, including ACAT proceedings.
Support and supervise a high performing, engaged frontline team.
About You Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, human services, or management (minimum Diploma in Community Services with extensive experience considered).
Proven senior leadership experience in housing, homelessness, or domestic violence services.
At least five years' experience supporting vulnerable individuals within a trauma-informed, strengths-based framework.
Strong understanding of domestic and family violence impacts.
Knowledge of tenancy and property management processes.
Expertise in case management, advocacy, outreach, and client coordination.
Strong financial, operational, and people management skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder engagement abilities.
A strategic mindset with a commitment to ethical leadership and continuous improvement.
