Base pay range A$129,464.00/yr - A$142,665.00/yr Senior Data Analyst - Fair Trading | Data, Analytics and Infrastructure Grade: Clerk Grade 9/10 Salary range: $129,464 - $142,665 + superannuation and leave loading Term: Ongoing roles, Full time Location: Sydney & Parramatta, hybrid role - average of 50% days face to face split between CBD and Paramatta offices as required.

The Regulatory Intelligence, Data Management & Reporting team uses cutting edge technologies to identify potential risk and non-compliance across thousands of regulatory entities and drive better regulatory outcomes for the people of NSW.
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to: Work directly with senior stakeholders to design and execute data-driven regulatory compliance operations and answer strategic policy questions.
Develop code-based reporting and data exploration applications to support operational teams Develop sustainable data models and pipelines to support analytics use cases.
This role provides a unique opportunity to work on complex problems and build experience with cutting-edge tools and technologies, including Snowflake, Databricks, artificial intelligence and graph databases.
The ideal candidate will be willing and able to work at a fast pace, deal directly with stakeholders, learn new technologies, and work across the full data stack.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver data products through agile processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting and visualization.
Work comfortably across the entire data lifecycle and be confident to take on new challenges Conduct analysis to identify and assess the risk of non-compliance among regulated entities.
Automate data workflows, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
Develop dash and streamlit applications to help users search and explore data.
Develop relational and graph data models to support analytics, reporting and data science use cases.
Develop automated deployment pipelines for changes to ETL processes, database schemas and presentation products.
Develop automated ETL and data quality validation processes.
Work in a high performing team, taking collective ownership and driving modern data and development standards Keep up to date with advanced data engineering and data science concepts and how they can be utilised in a regulatory environment Key Challenges: Delivering robust analysis quickly and iteratively to senior stakeholders.
Developing scalable, adaptable data models for long-term sustainability.
Implementing robust automated testing frameworks to ensure data integrity.
Establishing efficient data ingestion and integration strategies.

Essential Requirements: Comfortable working across the end to end data lifecycle, from ingestion to presentation, and with learning, and working across, the entire data stack.
Ability and willingness to engage directly and frequently with stakeholders and iterate on products continuously.
Proven experience delivering complex data analytics products.
