What You'll Do
As a Parent Pathways Mentor, you'll support parents of young children to overcome challenges, build confidence, and pursue education or employment - connecting them with the right resources, opportunities, and support to help them thrive.
You'll play a key role in raising program awareness through community engagement initiatives, while delivering support across our outreach centres.
Empower Parents: Build trust and guide participants to set goals and take steps toward education, employment, and personal growth.
Tailored Support: Deliver personalised, strengths-based case management that respects parenting responsibilities and addresses diverse barriers.
Connect to Services: Link participants with childcare, training, financial aid, and wellbeing supports to ease pressure and enable progress.
Engage Community: Promote the program and build strong partnerships with local services and employers to open pathways to work experience and employment.
Outreach Delivery: Travel to outreach centres to provide in-person support and manage participant caseloads.
Administration & Compliance: Manage caseloads efficiently, maintain accurate records, and ensure all service delivery meets program guidelines and contractual
What You Bring
Qualifications: Certificate III in Community, Employment Services or related field (or working towards).
Experience: Community services or childcare experience is valued, as is lived experience overcoming barriers and navigating support systems.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong emotional intelligence and rapport-building skills, with the ability to connect meaningfully and communicate with empathy.
Initiative & Organisation: Skilled in planning and executing community engagement initiatives, with a proactive approach to promoting program awareness.
Tech Savvy: Confident with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and digital tools.
Pre-Requisites: Full eligibility to work in Australia, with the ability to obtain a National Police Check, Working with Children Check, and/or Vulnerable Persons Check.
