About the role We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Digital Governance, Risk and Compliance Specialist to join our Assets and Digital division.
In this role, you will drive the implementation of our Risk and Compliance Management frameworks and ensure effective governance, risk, and compliance management across all digital assets within Essential Energy.
You will lead the development and implementation of improvements in risk and compliance management processes, tools, risk assessments, action tracking, and related strategic initiatives and projects.
Additionally, you will provide direction, advice, and guidance on digital risk and compliance with relevant standards, regulatory, and legislative frameworks.
Key Responsibilities include: Accountable for the planning, development, implementation, and management of policies, processes, and strategies for digital risk management and compliance across Essential Energy Execute Essential Energy's digital risk and compliance review and audit program to identify and mitigate potential risk and compliance issues on a real-time basis, reporting to senior management and other key stakeholders as required Develop, maintain, and manage a digital risk register, proactively identifying and managing risk and compliance issues Develop and maintain working relationships with other organizational risk and compliance teams, groups, and communities, providing the link between corporate risk processes and frameworks and Essential Energy's digital risk function Manage the communication of digital governance, risk, and compliance awareness across Essential Energy You are a professional with substantial experience in a similar role, delivering governance, risk assessment, and compliance against established frameworks in an ICT environment.
You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.
Your experience with governance concepts, policy/standards development, and documentation of risk management frameworks, along with your working knowledge of information security management systems and risk management frameworks, makes you an ideal candidate for this role.
Key Skills and Experience: Professional experience in a similar role delivering governance, risk assessment, and compliance against established frameworks in an ICT environment.
Experience with governance concepts, policy/standards development, documentation of risk management frameworks, and assisting in the reporting of digital risk metrics Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of information security management systems and risk management frameworks, including AESCSF, ISO 27001, ISO 31000, NIST 800-53, and guidelines such as the ASD Essential 8 and ISMDemonstrated exceptional stakeholder engagement and management skills with the ability to build relationships across a broad spectrum of users and management Very strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare executive and external documentation, strategic plans, reports, briefings, and socialize recommendations for business implementation Required Qualifications Relevant industry certifications and post-graduate qualifications in Risk Management, Information Technology, or Cyber Security are desirable Why Essential Energy We offer competitive remuneration commensurate with skills and experience and 16% superannuation.
