About This Role Brunel is partnering with a Tier 1 mining client to source a highly experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer for a site-based role supporting the delivery of fixed plant infrastructure on a major resources project in Western Australia.
This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing mechanical installation, testing, quality assurance, and commissioning.
You'll play a critical role in ensuring all systems are delivered safely, to spec, and ready for operational handover.
Lead all mechanical works across fixed plant construction and commissioning phases Oversee installation and mechanical completion of crushers, conveyors, mills, pumps, and other infrastructure Manage inspections, punchlisting, QA / QC, and system handover to operations Interface with construction, commissioning, operations, and vendor teams to resolve technical issues Ensure safety, compliance, and engineering standards are maintained at all stages of delivery Contribute to planning and support startup of mechanical systems Requirements Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering Considerable experience in mining, heavy industry, or large-scale infrastructure projects Proven site-based experience during opersations.
