What we're looking for SAP MM Consultant Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced SAP MM (Materials Management) Consultant to join our team and play a key role in our SAP S/4 HANA transformation journey .
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP MM, with hands-on experience in data migration , configuration , and implementation of SAP solutions in procurement and materials management.
This role also requires strong customer engagement and stakeholder management capabilities to ensure alignment between SAP solutions and evolving business needs.
Responsibilities SAP MM Data Migration : Lead and support data migration activities from SAP ECC to SAP S/4 HANA , with deep knowledge of MM-related tables, data structures, and tools such as SAP Migration Cockpit and LTMC .
SAP MM Configuration : Configure and implement SAP MM solutions in the S/4 HANA environment , ensuring efficient support for procurement, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
Implementation Support : Act as a lead or support consultant during SAP MM implementation and rollout projects, including S/4 HANA greenfield or brownfield deployments .
Troubleshooting and Support : Provide post-implementation support, resolve functional and technical issues, and implement enhancements to meet changing business requirements.
Cross-Module Integration : Ensure seamless integration of SAP MM with other modules such as SAP SD, WM, PP, and FI/CO , especially in the context of S/4 HANA's simplified data model.
Customization : Customize SAP MM to meet specific business needs related to material master data, procurement workflows, stock management, and vendor collaboration.
Customer Engagement : Collaborate closely with business users to understand requirements, provide expert guidance, and deliver solutions that align with operational goals.
Stakeholder Management : Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including procurement teams, IT leadership, and implementation partners, to ensure project alignment and success.
Documentation : Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation including functional specifications, process flows, and user manuals tailored to S/4 HANA.
System Testing : Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate SAP MM configurations and migrated data.
Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process optimization and innovation using S/4 HANA capabilities such as Fiori apps , MRP Live , and Advanced Procurement .
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
SAP MM certification is preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of experience as an SAP MM Consultant, including at least three full-cycle SAP S/4 HANA migrations or implementations .
Proven expertise in SAP MM configuration, data migration, and support.
Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, purchase order processing, and vendor management in SAP.
Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with other SAP consultants.
Relevant industry experience.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve SAP MM issues effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
Experience managing small SAP projects or workstreams, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with SAP WM or SD modules and experience in global SAP rollouts across multi-country/multi-currency environments.
